Jake grew up in Bristol and returned to his home town to practice on graduation. Since then he has married and has two children. He is a keen and enthusiastic sportsman, having tried most sports over the years. Nowadays you’ll find Jake mostly running or cycling, as an active member of both Bitton Runners and Saltford and Keynsham Cycling Club, with an occasional ski trip thrown in during the winter. Not being content with completing 17 Bristol Half Marathons or 11 London Marathons, Jake has developed an ultramarathon habit which has included two successful finishes of the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc, a 105 mile circumnavigation of Mont Blanc via France, Italy and Switzerland, as well as running both the Cotswold Way and West Highland Way each in under 24 hours.
